Description
This saree is a fusion of the two very ancient, distinct and unique craft of weaving and art of hand drawing and hand painting.
Saree pallu depicting Shri Ram Darbar woven using “Jala” technique similar to the Jamdani technique of hand weaving practiced in Chhattisgarh state by traditional weavers’ community. Body of the saree is hand drawn and hand painted using Vrathapani (Srikalahashti Kalamkari) technique to create lotus and other floral designs.
We have combined the two extreme level of craft in a saree to showcase the rich handcrafted textile tradition of India.
